Boston Soft Body Jacket Customised
The original Soft Boston Body Jacket (BSBJ) is a spinal orthosis designed to make control more comfortable for patients who cannot tolerate rigid compression. The BSBJ remains flexible while providing support with strategically placed co-polymer Stays (reinforcements) which increase diaphragm expansion to improve respiration. Choose from Removable or Permanent Stays. Alternatively, the product can be manufactured with either an internal or external polypropylene frame, where slightly more rigidity is required.
Recommended Range Of Application:
Neuromuscular Scoliosis, Seating and Positioning (posture control), Myelomeningocele, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy. Especially beneficial for children and non-surgical candidates.
Measurement:
Can be manufactured to cast or measurement with posterior, anterior or bi-valve opening.Please use our Universal Measurement Form for ordering customised braces which can be found in our download centre.

3mm Firm polyethylene foam outside and 4.5mm soft polyethylene foam inside. Lightweight, flexible and easy to trim. Supplied with velcro straps. Please see our section Boston Brace Accessories and Materials for straps available.Patients can also choose from a selection of colours that can be applied to the brace. Colour choice and shades subject to change without notice. The current colour selection is Royal Blue, Orange, Purple, Pink. Use item code BSBJ/COL when ordering and specify colour.
